Do you manufacture your products yourself?

Yes! Our full product line is made in house in small batches for ultimate freshness and quality, locally made in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island.

Are your products vegan?

All of our products are 100% vegan, handmade, and cruelty-free. We even replaced bees wax for candelilla and carnauba wax to help support our drastically declining bee populations. You will find only the finest, natural ingredients in Matka’s skincare products, some of them even wild harvested on Vancouver Island by yours truly.  

Do you ship worldwide?

No, only within Canada and the US. If you wish to place an international order, please contact us directly.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin types?

YES! In my 10 years as an aesthetician, i have seen what works, what doesn’t and everything in between. The purpose behind Matka Botanicals skincare line is to provide comfort and relief to the most stubborn skin problems. Our products are soothing, nourishing and healing and they don’t contain any harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, petrochemical byproducts, dangerous preservatives or fillers.

What type of packaging do you use?

We strive to use as environtmentally friendly packaging solutions as possible and when possible, including glass bottles, aluminum tubes, biodegradable shrinkwrap, and paper/cardboard for shipping.

Are your products fragrance free?

No. However, we pride ourselves in using only the highest quality therapeutic grade essential oils, hydrosols, and natural fragrance oils in our products. Our only fragrance free product is the Kale & Seaweed Hydrate Mask.

How long is the shelf life of your products?

To ensure that your Matka products are used during their time of optimal freshness, we recommend storing all products in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight and using them within 6 months of opening.

Do your products contain preservatives?

We are committed to using only truly natural, non-toxic ingredients and avoiding synthetic preservatives; although all of our formulations do feature natural preservative systems. Most of our water-based products contain a natural preservative called Geogard™ ECT Preservative which is a broad spectrum preservative approved by ECO-CERT.

What is your refund policy?

If an item arrives damaged we will send a replacement item free of charge - or offer a refund for the damaged item(s). We do not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances! If a package returns to us it is the client’s responsibility to pay for any additional shipping costs having to send the package out again.
